In my personal time, I enjoy hiking with my family and we are members of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. I am also an avid woodworker and have built projects ranging from our live edge slab hackberry dining table to a maple and cedar acoustic guitar, which I enjoy playing folk music on.

Live edge black walnut console table. Glued up the bark and coated in epoxy before finishing the surface with polyurethane.

Custom work bench to let the fun happen, while storing all the toys below. Workshop assistant is featured in the picture but didn't last long!

Shoe Rack
Cherry wood shoe/backpack storage bench made from rough cherry planks from TheLumbershack.com and hand planed. American Natural finishing stain to pop the cherry grain features.
Porch Table
Cedar outdoor coffee table for the porch. Practice piece for learning inlay technique. Spar polyurethane finish.
Dining Table
Hackberry slab shaped and finished to last a life-time of family dinners. Rustic X-base was from 10x2 lumber and fits into a under-table cradle without need for nails or screws.
Mothers Day Art
Cherry wood board with exotic wood inlays and my daughters handwritten "MOM", which I routed into the board before finishing.
Digital Clock
Clock for my daughter made from a slice of black walnut she picked out at a lumber mill in Maine.
Desk
Desk for my soon-to-be-getting homework 3rd grade daughter! Cherry wood table top and drawers, which have push-to-open slides. The buttons are rings cut from branches of the crepe myrtle tree outside our front door. [there is also a "secret" drawer...]
