​I am a Scotland-born scientist working in the United States since 1999. While my background is pharmacology, my passion & opportunities drove me into immunology. I specialized in allergy research for much of my career, including asthma, eczema and food allergies.

Sept 2023 -
Part-time lecturer on the Masters in Biotechnology program and course director for "Introduction to Glycobiology", which focuses on glycans, glycobiology, and analytical methods used in research and biotechnology.

Head of Discovery for ImmuneID, a patient focused biotech company defining precision medicine through autoantibody target identification using next generation phage display approaches.
Senior Director, SANOFI
June 2017 - May 2022
Lead four teams of scientists as Head of Type 2 Inflammation & Fibrosis within the Immunology & Inflammation Therapeutic Area. Oversaw 20-25 people driving the innovation and target credentialing to enter the Sanofi drug development pipeline and progress to IND submission and clinical development.
Faculty, NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY
May 2005 - June 2017
Faculty in the Department of Medicine of Feinberg Medical School. Based in the Division of Allergy & Immunology and led a research operation focused on translational medicine of allergic diseases. Awarded tenure in 2015, having R01-level funding for over 10 years.
Mentored 5 students to PhD award, as well as many clinical and postdoctoral fellows.
